How do I wash my Crown Topper?

Use a gentle sulfate-free shampoo (like our SOL range), wash every 7–14 days depending on styling and product use. Air-dry or use cool setting only if using heat.
Use SOL Hydra Love treatment to keep your topper's hair hydrated and healthy.
Never put conditioner or treatment on the base/roots to avoid the hair knots in the base of coming loose.

Can I style with heat tools?

Yes, our toppers are made from 100% human hair, so can be styled with heat. Always apply a quality heat protectant and use moderate heat settings to preserve hair integrity.

How do I choose the right topper colour?

Send us photos of your natural hair in natural lighting (no filters) and we’ll colour match you to the closest blend. If your shade is slightly off, a professional stylist can tone or custom blend for a seamless match.
Can I sleep with my topper on?
We recommend removing your topper before bed. Sleeping with a topper can cause friction, reduce lifespan and potentially tangle the hair. Store it on a mannequin or original packaging to maintain shape and softness.
Can I cut or style my topper?
Absolutely. Treat it like your own hair. You may cut into face-framing layers, add bangs, curl, straighten or blow-dry. We always recommend professional cutting to ensure a satisfied result.
Do I need a full wig if I have crown thinning?
Not necessarily. If your thinning is focused on the crown/parting only, a topper offers volume without covering all your natural hair. A wig is only recommended for more advanced or complete hair loss.

How long will it last?

With proper care and according to wear frequency, a Crown Topper can last several months. Treat and store it with care. 
Only wash with recommended products, like SOL shampoo and SOL Hydra Love hair treatment. Brush gently to avoid shedding. 

What if the colour doesn’t match?

Contact us within 7 days of purchase (before wearing or styling) for exchange or refund, provided the topper is returned unused and in original packaging. For exchanges and refunds courier fees apply. 
Can I swim or exercise while wearing a topper?
Exercise is fine, but swimming and high-intensity workouts are not recommended as saltwater, chlorine and sweat can shorten lifespan. Rather remove your topper or wear an older unit for these activities.
How is a Crown Topper applied?
Simply place it over your crown area, align the parting, and secure the clips close to your roots. Teasing the hair at clip points helps with extra hold. Beginners usually master application within minutes. The topper can be placed just behind the front hairline. If your hairline is receding, you can place the topper in the front and cut a small fringe to hide the topper's hairline if needed. For advanced receding hairlines, the front clip can be removed and secured with our lace front tape for a natural look and secure wear.
Does a topper feel heavy or uncomfortable?
Not at all. Our bases are lightweight and breathable, designed for all-day comfort. Most clients forget it’s even on after a short adjustment period. Our toppers weigh between 70g and 90g for a natural look and comfortable wear.
Can I wear a topper with extensions?
Yes, but it is not necessary. Many women pair toppers with extensions for fuller length and crown coverage while for others the crown topper gives enough volume for the look they desire. For best blending, choose a matching colour and density. We can help you select the ideal combination.
