Terms & Conditions - Hair Extensions
Please note that Strands of Love does not take responsibility for any hair extension installations, hair extension maintenance, haircuts or colours done by any salon, hair stylist or hair extensionist.
We send clients the contact details of salons and stylists that are registered with Strands of Love in their area but are not held responsible for any work done by the salons. If you are not satisfied with the work of a salon/extensionist, please discuss it with them or give us the opportunity to refer you to another salon.
When purchasing Strands of Love Hair Extensions through your salon, please note we only exchange items within 7 days after the purchase date. The hair needs to be in its original packaging and in a perfect, unused condition. Courier rates apply. Once Strands of love hair extensions have been installed, the hair cannot be exchanged. No exchanges are allowed on custom orders.
We have a no refund policy (only exchanges), so please look after your hair extensions with love and care. Go to our AFTERCARE page for more information. If products are used that is not recommended by Strands of Love, no refunds or replacements will be done. Please keep in mind that NO KERATIN/ PROTEIN is allowed to be used on hair extensions.
If a problem arises with your hair extensions, Strands of Love must be notified within 8 weeks of wear via email (customersupport@strandsoflove.co.za).
Send us your proof of payment from the day of installation at your salon. If a salon returns the hair, please provide your invoice/order number. One day will be added after the delivery date and this will be regarded as the day of installation unless proven otherwise.
The extensions should be removed, and send to our office for close inspection. An investigation will be done on the batch you received hair from. If no fault is detected, we will do a light treatment on your extensions and return the hair to your salon. We will then help you go through the aftercare guidelines to see why you were struggling with your hair. Refunds or replacements are only done when a batch/factory fault is detected.
If you detect any problems with your extensions within the first 8 weeks of wear, please notify us by sending an email customersupport@strandsoflove.co.za.
Please provide us with your proof of payment and order number.
CUSTOM ORDERS
All custom designed items take +/- 6-8 weeks to arrive in SA.
Products can take longer than 8 weeks to arrive, as all products are coloured and manufactured by hand.
In some cases errors can be made by the manufacturer and also outsourced specialists are sometimes sourced to make the products to the best possible standard and quality. This can cause the lead time to increase and is out of our control.
If a product takes longer to manufacture, the client is still responsible/liable for the fees up to 6 months.
After 6 months a refund or discount can be requested by the client.
All items are made by hand, therefore sufficient time should be granted for each item.
All custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit before your order is placed at the factory.
Once your order arrives, you need to pay the outstanding amount before delivery.
No exchanges are allowed for custom orders unless we find another buyer for your order.
All custom orders have a minimum requirement of 100g of hair per colour/ length.
All custom orders do not qualify for Student hair, but are only available in the Classic range (Russian hair).
The maximum length available is 60cm/ 24"
Each order is calculated according to the volume and craftsmanship.
The following items can be custom-designed to suit your special needs:
* Tape-ins, I-tips, weaves or clip-in extensions in any length not longer than 60cm/24"
* Crown toppers in any length or volume
* Halo hairpieces in any length or volume
* Ponytails in any length or volume
* Wigs orders are subject to availability and take 3-4 weeks to arrive in SA.

Terms & Conditions - Company
In using the Strands Of Love website you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions:
Collections
No purchases or collections at the Strands of Love offices will be allowed by the public.
Returns & Exchanges
If you have purchased the incorrect colour or length and would like an exchange, please notify us within 7 days via admin@strandsoflove.co.za and return the product to us within 14 days of purchase. Please send an email with your order number, date of purchase and the colour and length of the product you would like to exchange it for.
No refunds are given before the product have been received back at our Strands of Love Head Office and inspected by our personnel to see if the product or hair have been used or damaged.
Please allow 3-5 working days for orders to be delivered depending on your location (delivery to rural and outlying areas take longer).
All hair care items (eg shampoos and conditioners) are final sale and can not be refunded or exchanged.
Sale item purchases by customers are final and can not be refunded. You may exchange it for products of the same price value at that moment in time.
With regards to orders, exchanges and returns, Strands of Love (Pty) Ltd, assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage of merchandise by a carrier handling the returned shipment.

Shipping and Payment
Strands of Love take no responsibility for incorrect shipping information or other details/information provided by the customer.
All orders by the public must be placed on the Strands of Love website and paid via Payfast (Instant EFT, Credit Card, Debit Card) or Zapper (QR Code scanning with Mobile App). NO EFT's are accepted as payment for online orders.
Free Shipping is for Economy Shipping only (Local Areas and Major Cities Only).
Free Shipping excludes Farms, outlying areas and isolated areas.
Overnight or Same Day shipping must be paid for by the client according to the allocated fee for their area.
Overnight and Same Day shipping is only available for Local Areas and Major Cities and must be paid for by the client.
Should the client require overnight shipping to any outlying area or isolated area, they must book their own courier for collection.
Liability
Strands of Love can not be held responsible for any damage caused to your hair extensions, own hair, or yourself, due to the improper installation or any work done by a salon, hair stylist or person, and are not liable for any defects, damages, or misuse of products.
All stylists and consumers agree that Strands Of Love (Pty) Ltd / strandsoflove.co.za can not be held liable for allergic reactions, skin irritations, disability, or death caused by products where the ingredients are marked on the packaging or ingredients of which Strands of Love was unaware of or not informed by, by the supplier or manufacturer.
Strands of Love can not be held liable for any costs associated with the installation or removal of products or hair extensions.
If any work done by a salon, hair stylist or extensionist is not up to standard, please contact your salon or stylist who did the installation and notify us by sending an email to customersupport@strandsoflove.co.za.
We have made every effort to display the hair colours on our website as accurately as possible for all our products. We can however not guarantee that your computer monitor or mobile phone will display the colours exactly the same as the actual colour of the hair. The type of screen you use, make, model, the sunlight and even screen brightness can have an influence on what is seen on the screen.
Strands Of Love can not be held liable for a colour mismatch or any costs associated with exchanges, returns or shipping with regards to the colour of hair extensions you purchased.
Prices indicated on our website do not reflect any or all of the international duties, taxes, or other customs charges that the package may encounter when it arrives in its final destination.
At the event of a product being sold out, Strands of Love has the right to cancel the order and refund the order amount paid by the customer with the payment method we choose. Strands of Love shall notify the customer of an equivalent replacement product first.
When purchasing hair extensions form Strands of Love you hereby agree that you have read and understood the terms and conditions as well as the aftercare instructions on our website strandsoflove.co.za and will follow these aftercare instructions we provided.
You hereby agree that you will only use Strands of Love recommended products on your hair extensions.
