Terms and Conditions


As Strands of Love is a supplier of hair extensions and related products only, we offer the service to send clients the contact details of hair salons and hair stylists that are registered with Strands of Love. 


Strands of Love does not take responsibility for any hair extension installations, maintenance, haircuts, advice, recommendations or any services done by any salon, hair stylist or hair extensionist.

If you are not satisfied with the work of a salon/extensionist/hair stylist, please discuss it with them or give us the opportunity to refer you to another salon.




If a paid order is out of stock, Strands of Love will contact the client/salon to either send a similar product or refund/credit the client/salon.


Due to monitors and cell phone screens that vary, website photos or photos sent via email or phones, may have colour variations.

Strands of Love has colour rings available for your convenience. The colour ring must be used as a guideline as all our batches coming in, differ slightly as all the hair is coloured by hand.

In the case where the colour differs more than allowed, we will contact the client/salon to confirm before the order is dispatched. In the event that the colour is very similar to the website, colour ring or photos provided, the order will be dispatched without notification.



Exchanges or Returns

When purchasing Strands of Love Hair Extensions through a salon or online, please note we only exchange items within 7 days after the purchase date. The hair needs to be in its original packaging and in a perfect, unused condition. 

Exchanges or returns need to be arranged by the salon/hair stylist/client that has placed the order.

A R149 rate is applicable for courier rates for all exchanges or returns.

The estimated shipping time is 1 to 4 work days depending on your location within South Africa.


Once Strands of Love hair extensions have been installed/inserted, the hair cannot be exchanged or returned due to hygiene reasons. No exchanges are allowed on custom orders.


If you are exchanging or returning clip-in extensions, the silver ties securing the hair must be unopened and in its original packaging. The hair must be in the same condition as when it left our offices. If the silver ties have been opened, or the clip-ins/ponytail have been inserted in your hair, the hair will not be exchanged or refunded due to hygienic reasons.


All SALE items are final, and cannot be exchanged or refunded. 

All accessories and aftercare products qualify as final sale and cannot be exchanged or refunded.


If you have made a payment via our payment processor or with your credit card, we may deduct the commission fees from the refund amount. Courier fees will be deducted.


To request an exchange or return, please contact us by sending an email to customersupport@strandsoflove.co.za with your invoice number, a proof of payment and the reason for the exchange or return.




If a problem arises with your hair extensions, Strands of Love must be notified within 8 weeks of wear via customersupport@strandsoflove.co.za

Please let us know the name of the salon/hair stylist that has placed your order and installed your hair extensions. An invoice number and proof of payment must be provided. 

In your email, photos of all the aftercare products that were used on the hair extensions must be provided.


The hair extensions must be removed by the salon that did the installation. 

Strands of Love will arrange a courier to collect the hair for a thorough inspection.

The batch of hair will be investigated and inspected by our quality control manager. 

If the quality report finds that the hair was faulty, a replacement set will be issued. If it is found that there is no batch issue, a moisture and cuticle treatment will be done on the extensions and the hair will be returned to the salon that has purchased the extensions on behalf of the customer. 


If products were used that are not recommended by Strands of Love, no refunds or replacements will be done. 

Please note that no refunds or replacements will be issued if products containing keratin or protein have been used.

Please note that no refund or replacement will be issued after 8 weeks of the purchased date.

Please note that no refunds or replacements will be issued if Silver shampoo/products, toners or any form of colour were used on the extensions.

A refund or replacement can be denied if it was found that the client was reckless with her extensions and any of the AFTERCARE guidelines were not followed.

Please note that a refund or replacement will only be issued if a factory fault was detected after an investigation.


Strands of Love will guide the client or salon via email to ensure that correct aftercare is practiced after an issue was lodged. For more information about our AFTERCARE guidelines, go to our Aftercare page on this website.


No refunds, exchanges or returns qualify for any SALE item. 


Custom orders

All custom designed items take +/- 6-8 weeks to arrive in SA.

Products can take longer than 8 weeks to arrive, as all products are coloured and manufactured by hand. This can cause the lead time to increase and is out of our control.

If a product takes longer to manufacture, the client is still responsible/liable for the fees up to 4 months. 

All custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit before your order is placed at the factory. Once your order arrives, the outstanding amount needs to be paid before delivery can take place. 

No exchanges are allowed for custom orders unless we find another buyer for the order. 

All custom orders have a minimum requirement of 100g of hair per colour and per length. 

The maximum length available is 60cm/ 24"

Each order is calculated according to the volume and workmanship.

Orders are only dispatched once a proof of payment in the correct format is received. All payments need to be received before 13:00 for same day dispatch. Delivery takes 2-5 working days if the address is in major cities in South Africa. 

International shipping takes 7-14+ working days if no courier or customs delays occur.


Strands of Love are not held responsible for any parcel missing or incorrect delivery once handed over to the courier company and a legitimate waybill/tracking number was provided. We will do our utmost best to assist in the matter of a lost parcel or incorrect delivery. 


Strands of Love cannot be held responsible for any incorrect address, incorrect contact details or incorrect order placed or provided by the client. Kindly note that the address, contact details and items on the quotation or Tax invoice will be the items shipped to the address provided on the quotation or Tax invoice. Always check the invoice/quote thoroughly.

To change an address or contact details, the client is responsible to arrange so with the courier company at own cost. 

We will do our best to assist where possible.

I understand that all the designs, photos, intellectual property and trademarks are registered to Strands of Love™ and hereby accept the terms and conditions. I undertake not to copy/duplicate the trademarks, designs, photos and intellectual property directly or indirectly in any way and understand the legal implications thereof. Should I be found to be in violation of this agreement I understand that I will be held liable for all legal costs incurred by Strands of Love™ for any civil action or any legal action deemed necessary against myself.

Strands of Love Pty ltd respects your privacy and knows that you care about protecting your personal information. We take every reasonable precaution in protecting our user's information. No information is provided or given to any third parties except where necessary for the completion of your request. Only the information that is required to complete the part of fulfilling your order is provided.

This site operates as an informative and e-commerce website. The privacy policy applies to information we collect from you on the site; through the services; in email, text, and other electronic correspondence; and through any mobile or desktop application through which we may communicate. By using our website, purchasing products on our website, or contacting us via any online platform, you give us permission to use your information. We will not share your information or any personal information we may receive through our website or online. All information will only be used in accordance with the POPI act. This privacy policy applies to all the web pages related to this website.

Company Legislation and Consent

In no event will Strands of Love be liable for any loss or damage including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website or the use of Strands of Love products or services.

By tagging or mentioning Strands of Love on social media or via email you give us permission to share your photos on our social media pages and more.

By purchasing a product from Strands of Love via our website or via a hair salon registered with Strands of Love Pty ltd, you agree to follow our AFTERCARE guidelines on our website. You agree to only use recommended products. You also agree that you will contact Strands of Love directly if you are unsure about any information on our website or any information provided by a hairdresser, hair salon or professional registered with Strands of Love.

By going to a hairdresser or hair salon that is not registered with Strands of Love or has not purchased products from us within the last 12 month, you lose the right to any refund, replacement or treatment. The above qualifies for any hair extension maintenance or hair service where Strands of love extensions are in the hair or handled by the salon or hairdresser.

By purchasing a product from Strands of Love via our website or via a hair salon registered with Strands of Love, you agree to all the terms and conditions provided in our website.

By registering with Strands of Love as a product and service provider of hair extensions, you give us the right to give your personal information to potential clients and visa versa.

You agree to indemnify and hold Strands of Love Pty ltd and its employees as well as its officers, subsidiaries, affiliates, co-branders, suppliers, agents and any other partners harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees due to or arising out of the use of the website or doing business with Strands of Love Pty ltd.

Prices, products and availability are subject to change without notice. Every effort will be made to keep clients and customers informed.

All transactions between you and Strands of Love Pty ltd /www.strandsoflove.co.za as well as any disputes related to any interaction between you and Strands of Love Pty ltd /www.strandsoflove.co.za  are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa without regard to the laws regarding conflicts of law.
