At Strands of Love, we believe that every person facing hair loss deserves to feel beautiful, seen, and supported. Our Wigs of Love programme is a heartfelt initiative designed to offer high-quality, 100% human hair wigs to individuals undergoing medical treatments or facing hair loss due to illness or trauma.
By receiving a donated wig through our programme, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Purpose and Eligibility
1.1 The Wigs of Love programme is made possible through the generosity of kind-hearted sponsors who donate wigs to individuals in need.
1.2 To qualify, recipients must submit an application and be approved by our team based on the availability of donated wigs.
2. Sharing Your Story
2.1 One of the most beautiful parts of this programme is sharing stories of strength, courage, and hope. By accepting a wig from Wigs of Love, you kindly give us permission to:
Share your name, photos, and personal story on our website and social media;
Use your story and images in promotional or awareness campaigns related to the programme.
2.2 These stories help inspire others, raise awareness, and encourage new sponsors to join our mission. Your journey could truly be the reason someone else decides to give.
3. Consent & Use of Photos and Stories
3.1 By providing us with your story, photographs, and/or videos, you agree that we may:
Use this content in a loving and respectful way to honour your journey;
Edit or format the materials to fit our platform, while always preserving the heart of your story.
3.2 We will never sell your information or misuse your images. Our intention is always to uplift and celebrate the brave individuals behind the stories.
4. Privacy & Data Protection
4.1 We respect your privacy and take the protection of your personal information seriously. Your details will be handled in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
4.2 We only share the information you provide us for the purpose of the programme, and always with love and sensitivity.
5. Voluntary Participation
5.1 Participation in the programme is completely voluntary. If you are not comfortable with sharing your story or images, you may choose not to participate. However, public sharing is a condition for receiving a sponsored wig under this programme.
6. No Guarantees
6.1 Each wig is donated with love and care. While we do our best to provide a suitable match, please understand that donated wigs are offered as-is and may vary in colour, texture, or length.
6.2 We cannot guarantee specific wig styles or delivery timelines.
7. Liability & Release
7.1 By accepting a wig, you understand and agree that Strands of Love and its team are not responsible for any allergic reactions, fit concerns, or styling outcomes and related concerns.
7.2 You release us from any legal claims or liability related to your participation or the use of your images and story, as described in this document.
8. Gratitude & Acknowledgement
8.1 We are so honoured to walk this journey with you. Your story matters.
8.2 By applying to the Wigs of Love programme, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Terms;
You voluntarily consent to the use of your story, name, and photos as described above;
You accept the gift of a wig through the Wigs of Love programme with gratitude and kindness.
9. Automatic Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your application to the Wigs of Love programme, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
